New Japanese Friends

More school again today, started "reviewing" things I have yet to learn in Japanese class at RIT, so it's good that I'm learning new things. We're learning several Kanji a day, and it comes in pretty handy. After language class and lunch, we had culture class again.

Last time we instituted a rule that if too many people were sleeping, we'd have to play loud music and run around the room to wake up. Guess what happened today? The music was supplied by one of the language teachers, a Japanese band called Elephant something. It was pretty lively.

After class, a few students were going out to eat with some KIT students they met. One of the students was from Osaka, which has a different dialect, so he was teaching us a little about that. Some of the things I just learned in class that day like "have you ever" form and the word for refrigerator immediately came in handy for some reason. He also told us that English and maybe Chinese are really the only languages students learn in Japan. English is mandatory for the students at KIT to learn though.

After eating, everyone went to the park to play music and sing, but I had a lot of Japanese to study.
