Yesterday we had our language class like usual, but part of the class was devoted to writing our thank you letters to the host family. They made sure that we wrote really polite and grateful letters, it seems like it will mean a lot to them.
One other thing we did in language class, although I can't remember which day it was exactly, was some music dictation. We listened to this song called "Bonzai" by The Wall-flies, at least I think that's what their name is.
Then we got back together with our team members and worked on our projects. Me and my teammate had to go to the parts shop at the Yumekobo, or Factory for Dreams and Ideas. My partner is really nice, but my Japanese is pretty poor so I really don't know what he's saying most of the time. The shop worker at the Yumekobo realized this and told me I should study harder.
After class I went to the post office to mail the letter, apparently it's 80 yen or about 75 cents to mail a small letter to someone. But what is interesting about the post office that I learned from Gretchen on my homestay is that you can keep your money there like it's a bank, and since it's the governmental post office, your money is available anywhere there's a post office.
Later that night the SGE students came by and recorded a video of us thanking our host families. Since it was in Japanese and in front of a camera, it was really hard and made us really nervous, so it took a long time. At least we didn't have a quiz the next day.
