ACADEMIC PROJECTS
Ray Tracer: My Honors Capstone project is a Ray Tracer implementing Phong shading, shadows, environmental lighting, ambient occlusion, object transformations, loading models from .PLY files, transparency, and reflection.
Programming for Digital Media: Created a world of sensor-equipped vehicles that had different reactions to stimuli in Flash; motion was recorded with brush strokes to create an artistic “drawing;” interactivity included to customize your drawing.
Multi-User Media Spaces: networked multiplayer RTS-style 18th century pirate ship adventure in Director; players use a fleet of ships complete with cannons to capture territories and eliminate other ships to ultimately conquer the game world.
2D Graphics Programming: Built a 2D side-scrolling beat-em-up game in DirectX using C++; consisted of one complete level with the usual scrolling backgrounds, collision detection, special items, and multiple types of enemies including a boss battle.
3D Graphics Programming: 3D castle defense game in DirectX using C++ with castle upgrades, special weapons, and a relentless onslaught of enemies attempting to destroy your castle.
